Health & Fitness Clinic
Students in their fourth year of the B.S. program, as part of the practicum courses NEP 479 and 482, work as wellness coaches with the public to gain hands-on experience in exercise and nutrition assessment, counseling and programming in the department’s Health & Fitness Clinic.
With direct supervision of professors, students complete thorough health screenings along with comprehensive diet and fitness assessments to help individuals take steps to reduce risk factors for chronic disease, such as diabetes, cancer and heart disease.
Activities include group exercise sessions, one-on-one coaching, and education.

- Individualized exercise monitoring
- Nutrition counseling and exercise prescription
