Visiting Student Sub-Internship Opportunities
Sub-internship (Sub-I) elective opportunities at the WSU Elson S. Floyd College of Medicine are designed to give medical students an advanced level of clinical training. Rotations are available for students who have completed their basic clinical rotations and who are interested in internal medicine or family medicine.
The WSU Internal Medicine Residency Program – Everett offers Sub-I opportunities for students interested in pursuing internal medicine in underserved communities. Sub-I rotations are available each fall and provide students with hands-on training as an active participant in the Internal Medicine Residency Program.
The WSU Family Medicine Residency Program – Pullman will be accepting residency applications through the ERAS application system starting in the fall of 2022, and will be participating in the 2023 National Resident Matching Program (NRMP). The Family Medicine Residency Program prepares residents for the full scope of experiences unique to family medicine physicians in rural settings. The residency program anticipates offering Sub-I opportunities in the fall of 2023.
