Pediatrics, Valley Childrens Healthcare
I am originally from Kirkland, WA and attended the University of Washington, majoring in Neurobiology. After graduating college, I worked as an ophthalmic technician which revealed just how much I enjoyed working closely with patients and their families. I have felt so lucky to complete medical school at the Elson S. Floyd College of Medicine, working with communities in the state where I grew up!
Medical Student Journey
Throughout medical school I’ve experienced the chaos of pediatrics—one of my first pediatric patients managed to escape the building! However, I found that I embraced the unpredictability of children and enjoyed the unique perspective that each of them bring to the table.
Hopes & Aspirations
As a future pediatrician, I would love to return to Washington state after residency and work with children in an underserved area,” says Drury.
I don’t yet know what field of pediatrics I will go into, but I hope to meet all of my patients’ needs with compassion and expertise.
