Internal Medicine, University of Washington
I grew up in Renton, WA and went to Stanford University where I completed a bachelor’s degree in biology, but I am glad to be back home in Washington state at the Elson S. Floyd College of Medicine for medical school. My parents were refugees after the Vietnam war, and watching their struggles with cultural and language barriers, especially in healthcare, shaped my vision and goal to help make healthcare more equitable and accessible.
Hopes & Aspirations
I will be pursuing residency in internal medicine and possibly fellowship training in hematology/oncology.
I hope to practice medicine in Washington while giving back to the communities that raised and supported me throughout my journey,” said Tang.
Most of all, I would like to incorporate medical education into my career and be a part of teaching the next generation of physicians in Washington.
