Jamie Mackiewicz

Pediatrics, Children’s Hospital Los Angeles

About Me

I am originally from Battle Ground, WA, where I grew up with my parents and twin sister. After graduating from Prairie High School, I moved to Seattle to attend the University of Washington for my undergraduate studies, receiving a BS in Neurobiology with a minor in Bioethics and Humanities. Between graduating from UW and beginning medical school at Elson S. Floyd College of Medicine, I worked both as a medical scribe at the Seattle Children’s Hospital Urgent Care Clinic and as an Assistant Teacher at Sweet Pea Cottage Preschool. I am incredibly humbled to be a member of the inaugural class of the College of Medicine.

With roots in a small town myself, I appreciate the dedication our school has to serving rural, under-represented populations in Washington,” says Mackiewicz.

I have been truly grateful for the opportunity to complete my medical education in Washington, remaining close to loved ones and the state I call home!

What’s Next

I am so humbled at the opportunity to train as a pediatrician in the coming years of residency. Working with kiddos and their families is my passion, and I cannot wait to see where the journey takes me!
