General Surgery (Prelim), Virginia Mason Medical Center

About Me

I was born and raised in Bend, OR before I moved to Colorado and Utah to work in photography focusing on the ski and snowboard industry. I returned to the Pacific Northwest to start my journey into medicine completing a degree in Molecular, Cellular, and Developmental biology at the University of Washington while working at Valley Medical Center. Having moved from Seattle to attend medical school at the Elson S. Floyd College of Medicine, I’m excited to return to the area to begin my residency at Virginia Mason as a general surgery prelim.

What’s Next

Having grown up and spent the majority of my life in the greater Pacific Northwest, I am excited to complete my training and begin giving back to my local community that my family and I have called home for so many years. I knew I had wanted to return to the area once I had completed my training so the opportunity to continue my education here is a dream come true.

Hopes & Aspirations

As I start my residency in general surgery, I hope to gain the skills and knowledge to care for a wide range of patients; from the acutely ill to those requiring routine care. General surgery will be a solid foundation that will allow a wide range of fellowship opportunities in the future.
