Diagnostic Radiology, Maine Medical Center

About Me

After obtaining a BS in biochemistry at Western Washington University, I worked as a chemist while completing my Doctor of Physical Therapy from the University of Washington. I completed my post-doctoral training at University of Washington Harborview with an emphasis in burn therapy and neurological rehabilitation. I have six years of experience with extensive training in physical rehabilitation and neuromuscular disorders and have served as clinical instructor in these fields. I enjoy hiking, fishing, cycling, and spending time with family in the beautiful Pacific Northwest.

My medical school journey

As a lifelong Washingtonian I have relished the opportunity to train in my home state. It was such a treat to be a small part of the founding of a new medical school,” says Durrant.

The support and excitement of the community and that of my family and friends has made this journey so much more memorable.

What’s Next

As I began my medical training, I found the variety, challenge, and patient interaction in surgical specialties to be appealing but also enjoyed the anatomy and pathology required for radiology. Both specialties are complimented by my prior professional understanding of anatomy, as well as musculoskeletal pathology and function. I look forward to my residency as I grow my skills as a physician.
