About Me

I grew up in the Pacific Northwest and completed my bachelor degree in Psychology and General Science at Linfield College. A few weeks after graduating from Linfield I joined the Peace Corps and the time I spent as a Community Health Volunteer in rural Cambodia set the groundwork for a career in global health and humanitarian aid. Following completion of a Master’s degree at University College London, I spent years in Cambodia, Zambia, and Afghanistan working on health initiatives primarily focused on women and girls. After nearly eight years abroad, the Elson S. Floyd College of Medicine gave me the opportunity to return to the Pacific Northwest and pursue medical education in a program focused on meeting the needs of underserved populations in my home state.

What’s Next

I hope to use my medical education and prior global health experience to advance the health of women in rural and underserved communities as an OB/GYN.
