Scholarships and Support

The Elson S. Floyd College of Medicine is dedicated to minimizing student debt to help turn students with character, passion and raw talent into physician leaders that solve challenging health care issues. The college also seeks to educate medical students to keep communities across Washington healthy while decreasing the cost of care.

Scholarships are essential for attracting talented students with academic resilience who are committed to serving our state. Our students will be bold, audacious and visionary in advancing the next generation of medicine.

As much as possible, we want to remove financial barriers to support the career aspirations of Washingtonians that want to pursue a career in medicine, and who align with the Elson S. Floyd College of Medicine mission. The awarding of scholarships will be based on need and alignment with mission. That is, we want every student to receive a scholarship but those with the highest need and attributes aligned with mission will receive the most prestigious scholarship.
