The program helps students explore specialties, prepare for residency, and make informed career decisions through events, resources, and personalized advising.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">First Year: Explore<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Build a bridge from medical school application to first-year experience<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Understand how your identities will integrate into your physician identity<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Attend Student Interest Group (SIG) and Registered Student Organization (RSO) events focused on developing understanding of specialties and pathways<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Complete career advising modules, including:<ul><li>Medical school from a career decision lens<\/li><\/ul><ul><li>Overview of the Medical Student Performance Evaluation (MSPE), used in the residency application process<\/li><\/ul><ul><li>Residency application components, including what to consider during pre-clerkship years<\/li><\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Links to resources for additional exploration<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Second Year: Learn<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Learn more about the specialties and consider which specialty or specialties would be a good fit for you<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Identify what is most important for you as you transition from classroom to the clinic through the Association of American Medical Colleges\u2019 (AAMC) Careers in Medicine: Personal Assessments<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ask more in-depth questions about the specialty or specialties that interest you most and take advantage of leadership
