The degree must be completed by July 15 of the year you would enroll in our program. Take a look at&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/medicine.wsu.edu\/md\/apply\/requirements\/\" data-type=\"page\" data-id=\"149\">course prerequisites<\/a>&nbsp;to ensure that you will meet these requirements. The bachelor\u2019s degree must be completed at a U.S. regionally accredited or Canadian college or university.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you do not have a bachelor\u2019s degree because you enrolled in a doctoral-level (terminal degree) program from a U.S. regionally accredited institution that did not require a bachelor\u2019s degree for entrance, you may apply if you will earn or have earned the doctoral degree by July 15 of the year you will begin medical school.<\/p>\n\n        <\/div>\r\n    <\/div>\r\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"wsu-accordion  wsu-accordion--size-small\">\r\n    <h3 id=\"unique-id-1__11496\" class=\"wsu-accordion__title\">\r\n        <button class=\"wsu-accordion__title-button wsu-accordion--toggle\" aria-expanded=\"false\" aria-controls=\"unique-id-1__content\">My bachelor\u2019s degree is from an international institution. AP, CLEP, and IB credits must be documented on an official transcript.<\/p>\n\n        <\/div>\r\n    <\/div>\r\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"wsu-accordion  wsu-accordion--size-small\">\r\n    <h3 id=\"unique-id-1__3711\" class=\"wsu-accordion__title\">\r\n        <button class=\"wsu-accordion__title-button wsu-accordion--toggle\" aria-expanded=\"false\" aria-controls=\"unique-id-1__content\">Are there any considerations given to requirements due to COVID-19 disruptions?<\/button>\r\n    <\/h3>\r\n    <div id=\"unique-id-1__content\" class=\"wsu-accordion__content\" aria-labelledby=\"unique-id-1__3711\">\r\n        <div class=\"wsu-accordion__content-inner\">\r\n            \n\n<p>Yes, pre-requisite courses changed to Pass\/Fail due to COVID-19 during calendar years 2020, 2021, and 2022 coursework will be accepted to meet these requirements. Graded courses are required starting 2023 calendar year. We already accept online coursework taken at regionally accredited institutions. In addition, you must meet our residency requirements.<\/p>\n\n        <\/div>\r\n    <\/div>\r\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"wsu-accordion  wsu-accordion--size-small\">\r\n    <h3 id=\"unique-id-1__77151\" class=\"wsu-accordion__title\">\r\n        <button class=\"wsu-accordion__title-button wsu-accordion--toggle\" aria-expanded=\"false\" aria-controls=\"unique-id-1__content\">I do not meet your UGPA\/MCAT combination threshold requirements to receive a secondary application but do with my graduate GPA. Why have I not heard anything?<\/button>\r\n    <\/h3>\r\n    <div id=\"unique-id-1__content\" class=\"wsu-accordion__content\" aria-labelledby=\"unique-id-1__77151\">\r\n        <div class=\"wsu-accordion__content-inner\">\r\n            \n\n<p>These are reviewed on a case-by-case basis. If your graduate GPA is approved to meet the combination thresholds in lieu of the undergraduate GPA and you meet all of the other secondary requirements you will be sent a secondary application. If you do not receive a secondary application, it means your graduate degree did not qualify to be considered due to not being a medical\/clinical or basic science degree and\/or not enough hours taken to be considered.<\/p>\n\n        <\/div>\r\n    <\/div>\r\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"wsu-accordion  wsu-accordion--size-small\">\r\n    <h3 id=\"unique-id-1__52125\" class=\"wsu-accordion__title\">\r\n        <button class=\"wsu-accordion__title-button wsu-accordion--toggle\" aria-expanded=\"false\" aria-controls=\"unique-id-1__content\">Do I need to verify my residency to be eligible?<\/button>\r\n    <\/h3>\r\n    <div id=\"unique-id-1__content\" class=\"wsu-accordion__content\" aria-labelledby=\"unique-id-1__52125\">\r\n        <div class=\"wsu-accordion__content-inner\">\r\n            \n\n<p>If you do not meet 3 of our 4 \u201cfrom Washington\u201d ties via information from your AMCAS application, you will be asked to provide official documentation that you meet a Washington \u201cresident student\u201d definition. The WSU College of Medicine uses the definition of \u201cresident student\u201d in&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/app.leg.wa.gov\/RCW\/default.aspx?cite=28B.15.012\">RCW 28B.15.012(2)<\/a>&nbsp;to determine state residency, however in consultation with the Attorney General\u2019s office, we established our own date to determine residency &#8211; residency must be met by January 1 of the enrollment year.<\/p>\n\n        <\/div>\r\n    <\/div>\r\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"wsu-accordion  wsu-accordion--size-small\">\r\n    <h3 id=\"unique-id-1__88672\" class=\"wsu-accordion__title\">\r\n        <button class=\"wsu-accordion__title-button wsu-accordion--toggle\" aria-expanded=\"false\" aria-controls=\"unique-id-1__content\">What do I need to submit to verify my residency?<\/button>\r\n    <\/h3>\r\n    <div id=\"unique-id-1__content\" class=\"wsu-accordion__content\" aria-labelledby=\"unique-id-1__88672\">\r\n        <div class=\"wsu-accordion__content-inner\">\r\n            \n\n<p>Depending on what definition of \u201cresident student\u201d you meet will impact the forms required to submit. These will be emailed to you once we receive your AMCAS application and have verified you have met the other secondary requirements. Please do not send us documents until we request them.
