Third-year medical student Brian Carlson’s work was recently presented at Orthopedic Summit 2022 in Boston, MA as part of the 8th Annual Vericel Fellow, Resident and Medical Student Summit.
His abstract was in the top 10% of abstracts submitted to the conference and he was awarded a $500 travel grant to fly to Boston and present his work.
Carlson’s work with fellow third-year medical student Brett Jones looks at osteoarthritis grading and the impacts performing or delaying total knee arthroplasty and patient outcomes.
