Leila Harrison, PhD, MA, MEd, participated in the AAMC’s Transition to Residency Workshop this summer. The workshop addressed important application aspects and recommendations for comprehensive improvement of the UME-GME transition.
The two-day workshop aimed to create evidence-based action plans for four complex and urgent challenges during the transition to residency: away rotations; GME interactive informational database; holistic review in residency selection; and interview protocols.
