College members talk affirmative action and holistic review with KXLY

The College of Medicine is among 24% of medical schools that reside in the nine states that ban affirmative action. Leila Harrison, PhD, MA, MEd, and Christina VerHeul join KXLY to discuss the importance of a holistic review process.

“It is so important that we are producing physicians that represent the broad diversity in our state, that represent our rural communities, that represent our marginalized and vulnerable voices,” said Harrison.
