SUMMARY:Study Skills for ABIM Prep
DESCRIPTION:September 2\, 2026\n12:15–1:00 p.m.\nZoom\nIn this session presented by Heather Fox\, MD\, attendees will explore purpose of the In-Training Exam and review data regarding its correlation with the ABIM (American Board of Internal Medicine) exam pass rate. Using an example case\, attendees will utilize the CHEC-In framework to identify common test taking problems for learners and identify strategies for ABIM exam success. We will explore resources for ABIM preparation and demonstrate a practical framework for creating an effective ABIM study plan. \nThis is a Faculty Advancing Medical Education in Residency (FAMER) event. FAMER is a series developed by WSU Graduate Medical Education programs and the Office for Faculty Affairs and Continuing Professional Development. The program is designed to deliver up-to-date content in medical education topics for practitioners working with residents. The aim of these sessions is to promote active learning and engagement\, fostering a community of faculty as educators\, and improve the overall health of our patients and communities. \nFAMER sessions are open to all College of Medicine faculty and staff.
