DESCRIPTION:The Collaboration for InterProfessional Health Education Research and Scholarship (CIPHERS) invites you to their inaugural Diastole series “How do I… Tools\, techniques\, and tricks in medical education research.” \nThursday\, September 15\n12:10 – 1:00 p.m. via Zoom \nTitle: “Stop sufficing with Google! Advanced literature searching to find the best available evidence” \nPresented by:\nSuzanne Fricke\, DVM\, MLIS\nAnimal Health Sciences Librarian\, Washington State University \nSuzanne Fricke is the Animal Health Sciences Librarian at Washington State University’s Pullman campus\, where she provides reference\, instruction\, collection development and clinical informationist services for the College of Veterinary Medicine. She is past-chair of the Animal and Veterinary Information Specialist Caucus of the Medical Library Association. \nPrior to obtaining a Master of Library and Information Science Degree from the University of Washington iSchool she worked in private veterinary practice for 17 years. She completed the IHTSDO SNOMED CT Foundational and Content Development Courses\, the National Library of Medicine Biomedical Informatics Short Course\, and the American Medical Informatics Association OHSU 10×10 Introduction to Biomedical and Health Informatics Course. \nThis session will provide an introduction to library resources and services\, identify information literacy standards and assessment\, explore common information behaviors\, and leave you with practical steps to search and evaluate health science literature.
