Her research focuses on the interface between sleep, the social environment, and health, and the implications for public policy. Dr. Troxel is the leading authority on sleep in the context of close relationships and is author of the book \u201cSharing the Covers: Every Couple\u2019s Guide to Better Sleep\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Sleep is a critical health behavior and one that is typically shared between adult romantic partners. However, the vast majority of sleep research has largely viewed sleep as an individual behavior. Her presentation will highlight Dr. Troxel\u2019s work that examines how social environments, from our closest connections to the neighborhoods in which we live, and the public policies under which we live, influence how we sleep.
