Many Washington State University employees will see salary increases on their paychecks beginning as soon as next month.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Classified staff at WSU are set to receive a 4% salary increase effective July 1. The entirety of that increase for positions supported through state appropriations was funded by the Washington State Legislature earlier this year as part of the 2023\u201325 biennial operating budget.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
A 2.5% salary increase for faculty and administrative professionals will be going into effect Oct. 1. Legislators provided WSU with enough funding to enact a 2.2% increase, with the university contributing the rest.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWe are grateful for the state\u2019s support in helping WSU fund these much-needed increases,\u201d said WSU President Kirk Schulz. \u201cThis investment in our employees is one way we can show our appreciation, and we are glad to do it.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
