The conference was attended by approximately 2700 clinicians.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The list of presentations and leadership roles by WSU colleagues represents an incredible level of engagement and highlights the College of Medicine&#8217;s growing national reputation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li><strong>Dawn DeWitt<\/strong>, MD, MSc, CMedEd, MACP, FRACP, FRCP-London, represented the WSU HS interprofessional opioid education team with an oral presentation on interprofessional competency achievement by students and presented a poster on interprofessional assessment of clerkship students (co-authored by <strong>Skye McKennon<\/strong>, PharmD, BCPS, and <strong>Dawn Cooper<\/strong>, PhD).<\/li><li><strong>Sujan Badal<\/strong>, MD, was awarded a SGIM National Young Scholars award to attend the meeting.<\/li><li><strong>Wagma Nizami<\/strong>, MD, and <strong>Sujan Badal<\/strong>, MD, presented a case of a lethal medication side effect.<\/li><li><strong>Tony Huynh<\/strong>, DO, presented a case series on prostate cancer presenting as peritoneal carcinomatosis.<\/li><li><strong>Katie Miotke<\/strong>, DO, presented a case of refractory shock.<\/li><li><strong>Mariam Alamgir<\/strong>, MD, MBA, presented a case of drug resistant H pylori.<\/li><li><strong>Tess King<\/strong>, MD, MPH, presented research on the challenges of selecting internal medicine chief residents.<\/li><li><strong>Delaney Goulet<\/strong>, MD, co-chaired the SGIM National meeting\u2019s mentorship sessions, which included planning multiple career panels across the spectrum of GIM.
