Floyd College of Medicine recently joined more than 200 attendees at the nonprofit Premed Advisory Program\u2019s second annual fall conference, held at WSU Pullman. Their participation brought invaluable insight and mentorship to undergraduate students exploring careers in medical practice and research.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Titled\u202f\u201cPaving Your Way in Healthcare,\u201d the free event aimed to equip students with necessary skills, confidence, and community support through hands-on workshops, small-group discussions, and research poster presentations.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThis was such a meaningful experience for our team,\u201d said Abdelrahman \u201cBodi\u201d Abdelrazek, a WSU Honors student and founder of the Premed Advisory Program. \u201cHaving medical students from the WSU College of Medicine join us brought incredible value and perspective for our undergraduates. students and two WSU College of Medicine faculty members led workshops and spoke at conference, including Vice Chair of Surgery Anjali Kumar, MD, MPH, FACS, FASCRS, and Assistant Dean for Student and Resident Research Olivia Coiado, PhD.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cIt was inspiring to see the strong interest in medicine and other health professions among the participants,\u201d said second-year medical student Matthew Chen, who presented research and led a suture workshop. \u201cI hope that many of them will feel a similar calling to serve medically underserved communities in Washington and ultimately choose to practice within the state.\u201d&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wsu-cta \" >\n\t<a
