Floyd College of Medicine&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/medicine.wsu.edu\/gme\/fm-pullman\/\">Family Medicine Residency Program\u2013Pullman<\/a> inaugural class, has matched into a highly competitive sports medicine fellowship.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dr. Ward will begin his subspecialty training this summer at the University of Maryland&#8217;s Primary Care Sports Medicine Fellowship in Baltimore, where he will have the opportunity to work with local high school teams, University of Maryland athletics, and the Baltimore Ravens.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Hailing from Twin Falls, Idaho, and raised in the Pacific Northwest, Dr. Ward is an avid athlete who was drawn to family medicine for the opportunity to develop relationships with patients and empower patients to take control of their health. After earning his medical degree at William Carey University, continuing his training in Pullman felt like a homecoming, Dr. Ward noted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He joins <a href=\"https:\/\/medicine.wsu.edu\/news\/2025\/12\/16\/internal-medicine-residents-match-into-distinguished-fellowship-programs\/\">four Internal Medicine Residency Program\u2013Everett physicians<\/a> who have matched into prestigious fellowship programs in gastroenterology, rheumatology, pulmonary and critical care medicine, and hematology, oncology, and transplantation.
