Floyd College of Medicine&#8217;s new Medical Interpreter Certification Scholarship, which aims to improve access to language-concordant care. The deadline to apply is April 15.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Bilingual first- and second-year WSU medical students interested in becoming a trained and nationally certified medical interpreter are invited to apply online. Spots are limited.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Full Scholarship Includes<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>ALTA Medical Interpreter Training Program<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>NBCM\/ Written Examination<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>NBCMI Oral Examination<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>National certification recognized across the United States<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Eligibility Requirements<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Be an MS1 or MS2 at WSU<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Be fluent in English and the certification language<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Be able to complete certification requirements by December 31, 2026<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Attend monthly virtual cohort check-ins<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Certification Languages<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\" wsu-list--columns-2\">\n<li>Spanish<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Chinese<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Korean<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Russian<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Vietnamese<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Program Timeline<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Applications are open March 15\u2013April 15, 2026.
