Lonika Sood, MBBS, MHPE, FACP, an associate professor in the Department of Medical Education and Clinical Sciences and vice chair for internal medicine at the Elson S. Floyd College of Medicine, has been selected as president-elect of the Clerkship Directors in Internal Medicine (CDIM) Council with the Alliance for Academic Internal Medicine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Dr. Sood has worked with the national organization for a number of years in various roles, including as a councilor. Her term as president will start in fiscal year 2027.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
A founding faculty member and educational leader at the College of Medicine, Dr. Sood has held several roles contributing to MD and GME program development. Serving on this national committee has given her both an opportunity to share her experience and expertise with the larger internal medicine community, and also informed a number of critical curricular decisions in the MD program. Her service and leadership have contributed toward shining a light on the college\u2019s programs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
