Floyd College of Medicine faculty Lonika&nbsp;Sood,&nbsp;MBBS, MHPE, FACP, and Jamie&nbsp;Kennel,&nbsp;PhD, MAS, authored an invited commentary on health disparities in emergency medical care in <em>JAMA Network Open<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The commentary discusses new research on the association between transports of patients experiencing an out-of-hospital cardiac arrest and the socioeconomic status of the neighborhood where the arrest occurred.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wsu-spacing-after--xsmall\">&#8220;Hewlett et al. add to the research showing EMS agencies are not providing the same
