Chris Riley-Tillman recognized the Elson S. Floyd College of Medicine&#8217;s Shannon Helbling, PhD, as Featured Faculty.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Helbling is an assistant professor in the Department of Translational Medicine and Physiology and serves as histology thread director for the MD program.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cTeaching at WSU means being part of a family, and together we help guide dedicated students as they build foundational clinical knowledge,&#8221; Helbling said. &#8220;There is nothing more rewarding than guiding future Coug Docs, knowing the skills and compassion they develop right here will directly serve and heal communities across Washington.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Provost&#8217;s Featured Faculty exemplify a commitment to collaboration and innovation in scholarship, research, and teaching.
