Floyd College of Medicine MD students and their collaborators presented at the national American College of Emergency Physicians (ACEP) Scientific Assembly earlier this month in Chicago.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>WSU medical students Gabrielle Cua, Aya Sahib, Kevin Guitron, and Anne Onyali together withOregon Health &amp; Science University medical student Echo Meyers and EMT graduate Honora Mathisun-Lund presented their project on treatment disparities in pain medication given in pediatric firearm injuries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>WSU medical students Victoria Caldera and Olivia Willis presented their multicenter analysis of emergency department appendicitis management.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Director of Health Equity Education Jamie Kennel, PhD, MAS, served as faculty mentor on the projects.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Several Elson S.
