BS NEP Prerequisites and Curriculum
Applicants to the BS NEP program must first complete a specific set of prerequisite courses and the WSU general education requirements. These courses can be taken at WSU Pullman, a Washington community college, or another university. With careful planning, the courses could be fulfilled at an out-of-state community college, as well.
The following prerequisite courses are required:
- Chemistry I & II
- Organic Chemistry I
- Biology I & II
- Human Anatomy
- Human Physiology
- Human Nutrition for Health Professionals
- Public Speaking
Advising worksheets to the right list prerequisite equivalent courses at various colleges and universities. If your school isn’t listed, feel free to contact Jill Wagner, our Academic Coordinator, at firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
Once admitted to the program, students complete 64 credit hours in upper-division courses on the WSU Spokane campus. Additionally, the Junior Writing Portfolio and Senior Capstone course must be completed by all students.
