BS Nutrition and Exercise Physiology

In the BS NEP program, students spend their first two years of study completing general education and science prerequisites, either on the main campus in Pullman or through equivalent course work at other institutions, including local community colleges. The junior- and senior-year courses are taught at the Health Sciences Campus in Spokane, where the University’s close relationship with major medical centers provides unique opportunities for clinical experiences.

After completing the BS NEP degree, students are eligible to take the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) exam to become an ACSM Certified Clinical Exercise Physiologist. The BS NEP program also prepares students for graduate studies, including clinical nutrition through the Coordinated Program in Dietetics, Nutrition & Exercise Physiology (MS NEP CPD).
