BS in Nutrition and Exercise Physiology
In the Bachelor of Science in Nutrition and Exercise Physiology (BS NEP) program, students spend their first two years of study completing general education requirements and science prerequisites, either on the WSU campus in Pullman or through equivalent course work at other institutions, including community colleges. The junior- and senior-year courses are taught at the WSU Health Sciences Campus in Spokane, where the University’s close relationship with major medical centers provides unique opportunities for clinical experiences.
After completing the BS NEP degree, students are eligible to take the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) exam to become a Certified Exercise Physiologist. The BS NEP program also prepares students for graduate studies, in programs such as clinical nutrition, medicine, physical therapy, occupational therapy, or public health.
