MS (Thesis) NEP and PhD NEP Prerequisites and Curriculum

Applicants to the MS NEP and PhD NEP programs must first complete a set of prerequisite courses, typically completed at the undergraduate level.

  • Biology I and II
  • Chemistry I and II
  • Ethics
  • Exercise Physiology (at least one course)
  • Microbiology
  • Nutrition (human, at least one course)
  • Organic Chemistry I
  • Physiology
  • Psychology
  • Public Speaking
  • Statistics

Admitted students complete 32 (MS) or 72 (PhD) graduate level credits covering the following topics, including a two semester graduate seminar series and set of chosen electives.
