Research Interests

Catherine studies cardiovascular and cerebrovascular health in humans. She has experience ranging from translational animal models to clinical trials investigating vascular function with aging, in healthy adults, patients with heart failure, and patients with mild cognitive impairment. She has been involved in a wide range of studies to investigate mechanisms of blood flow regulation and vascular function utilizing non-invasive and invasive methodologies. Catherine is planning on continuing her research focused on cardiovascular and cerebrovascular health and function in humans. She has interest in both diet and exercise interventions and would like to study populations at risk for cardiovascular and Alzheimer’s disease.
