Biography
What inspired you to pursue medicine?
Medicine drew me in because it gives people an opportunity to make a meaningful connection with each interaction. I have always loved science and why things work the way they do. In each clinic visit, I can bring listening skills and a passion for talking about health while the other person brings their story, expectations, and worldview. We connect in sharing our perspectives and information with each other, ideally both leaving the visit with a slightly changed outlook.
What are your passions and hobbies outside of work?
I am a novice gardener and my husband and I are avid board game players. My other passion is my two very lazy cats.
What would you do if you hadn’t pursued medicine?
I would work for the Parks Department maintaining public gardens. I love weeding and pruning!
