Additional Information

Dr. Thompson joined WSU in August 2022. In February 2023 she will move her practice to the Family Medicine Residency Center, the residency’s continuity clinic. She previously practiced at Palouse Medical in Pullman Washington since 2020.

Dr. Thompson trained in a big program, but her background has always been rural. She was raised on a small family farm in northern Iowa where they raised pigs and grew corn and soybeans. During college she realized her passion for international medicine and service, spending time working and learning with Indian Health Services, researching water quality and public health in the Dominican Republic, and spending a summer in the Mampong District Hospital in Ghana.

She loves gardening and spending time playing outside. She plays sports any chance she gets, especially volleyball. She enjoys trying new foods from all around the world. Dr. Thompson enjoys taking care of patients of all ages. She is interested in the cultural aspects of medicine and how life experiences affect a person’s view on their health. She is excited to bring the best of her personal training experiences to the residency program and to add experiences she would have liked to have.
