{"id":1108,"date":"2022-12-13T08:55:52","date_gmt":"2022-12-13T16:55:52","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/medicine.wsu.edu\/speech-hearing-sciences\/?page_id=1108"},"modified":"2025-08-01T10:37:37","modified_gmt":"2025-08-01T17:37:37","slug":"apply","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/medicine.wsu.edu\/speech-hearing-sciences\/ms-shs\/apply\/","title":{"rendered":"Apply"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"wsu-row wsu-row--sidebar-right\" >\r\n    \n<div class=\"wsu-column\"  style=\"\">\r\n\t\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Requirements<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelor\u2019s degree from an accredited university<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A cumulative GPA of 3.2 of the last 60 semester credits or 90 quarter credits <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The Department of Speech and Hearing Sciences no longer requires the Graduate Record Examination (GRE) for admission to the MS SHS program.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Acceptance into the MS SHS program is based on meeting the admissions criteria and an applicant\u2019s readiness for the program as judged by the Admissions Committee.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Prerequisites<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wsu-spacing-after--xsmall\">Prospective MS SHS students must have a Bachelor degree in Speech and Hearing Sciences or Communication Sciences and Disorders or a Bachelor degree and the levelling courses from a postbaccalaureate sequence and have completed the following prerequisite courses:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Biology 106 (L) or Biology 102 (L)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Chemistry 101 (L) or Physics 101 (L)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Psychology 105<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Stats\/Math 212<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Application Timeline<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wsu-spacing-after--xsmall\">The MS SHS program starts in the fall semester only.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>January 15, 2026 \u2014 Application deadline<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>January 31, 2026 \u2014 Supplemental application deadline<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Spring \u2014 A select group of applicants are invited to interview for the program <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Offers of admission extended March 13, 2026<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Tuition and Out-of-State Applicants<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Through the Western Regional Graduate Program (WRGP), enrolled students from participating states pay in-state tuition.
