Dr. DeWitt has held administrative and faculty positions at universities in the United States, Canada and Australia.

  • Before coming to WSU, she served as the Associate Dean for Undergraduate Medical Education at the University of British Columbia.
  • She was also a professor of medicine and regional Associate Dean for Vancouver and Fraser. She also held a variety of positions at the University of Melbourne in Australia, including Associate Dean for Rural Health in the Faculty of Medicine, Dentistry and Health Sciences. She was the Dean of the Rural Clinical School and Professor and Foundation Chair of Rural Medical Education.
  • Dr. DeWitt also held several faculty posts at the University of Washington School of Medicine.
  • Since coming to WSU, and prior to her current position, she served as the Inaugural Vice Dean for Student and Faculty Experience (2016-17) and the Inaugural Associate Dean for Clinical Education in Spokane (2017-19).

Dr. DeWitt has worked as an attending physician in Vancouver, British Columbia and Seattle and held consulting physician positions in Australia.

DeWitt currently sees patients and teaches in the MultiCare Rockwood Endocrinology and Diabetes Education Clinic in Spokane.
