Nominations for the Shikany Awards

Faculty, second-year students, and staff are encouraged to nominate current second-year students who are completing their foundation course work at the college for two Shikany Awards. Submissions are due by February 28.

The Shikany Inspirational Award

This award will be given to a second-year student of outstanding character who has inspired classmates and faculty through leadership or academic achievement.

The Shikany Service Award

This award will be given to a second-year student for outstanding service to the class, to the school or to the local community.

Recipients of these awards will be announced at a recognition event at the end of the second year and each will receive a $1,000 scholarship from the Shikany Endowment.

Nominations

Nomination submissions should include the student’s name along with a brief description of no more than 100 words, explaining the reasons for your nomination. Nominations will be reviewed by a committee of faculty and representatives from the Shikany Endowment for final selection.
