Third-year medical student Maeve Alterio’s work is published in Surgery’s article, “Limited Disease Progression in Endocrine Surgery Patients with Treatment Delays Due to COVID-19.”
“I am so fortunate to have been able to work with, and learn from, such an incredible team. While there were many adverse health outcomes from the original COVID-19 lockdowns, it is reassuring to know that endocrine surgery patients were able to tolerate the delay in care,” said Alterio.
