The College of Medicine has been recognized for an additional three years as an Apple Distinguished School for 2022–2025 for its continuous innovation in learning, teaching, and the school environment.

The college was first recognized as an Apple Distinguished School in 2019.

Apple Distinguished Schools are centers of innovation, leadership, and educational excellence. They use Apple technology to inspire creativity, collaboration and critical thinking in learning, teaching and the school environment, and have documented results of academic accomplishment.

The selection of the College of Medicine as an Apple Distinguished School highlights our success as an innovator in creating a compelling learning environment that engages students and provides tangible evidence of academic achievement.

Our medical students and instructors use various technology in their courses to engage in both synchronous and asynchronous commentary and curricular participation. This comprehensive and inclusive approach is only possible with the equitable distribution of iPads and digital resources.

We will continue to focus on creating additional ways to deliver our medical curriculum, including building new applications and adding to our digital publishing library. We hope to provide students, faculty, and staff with more opportunities to engage with digital learning tools in new and unique ways as well as provide the necessary technical training and support to support these efforts. A high priority will be creating more online tutorials and blogs as educational materials as we explore further ways to incorporate technology to improve medical education and patient health.

Thank you to everyone who helped make this achievement possible.
