2023 Stevens County Capstone Celebration

Capstone Celebration

The college’s Stevens County Mentorship Program is a career awareness and prep program focused on exploring allied health care fields with rural youth. Each year the program holds a Capstone Celebration, an event for youth to reveal their social determinants of health research projects and their passion about the chosen subject.

This year’s celebration featured a moving speech from keynote speaker Public Health Officer at Spokane Regional Health District Dr. Francisco Velazquez. More than 100 guests from the college and community, including state representatives and the fire department, were in attendance to support students.
