The mileage rate increased on January 1, 2024. WSU reimburses a traveler at the rate of $0.67 per official travel mile when a privately-owned motor vehicle is used. This rate may update upon an annual review by Travel Services. Until such time, use the currently published rate for all reimbursements.
Please use this rate when comparing the cost of personal mileage versus car rental.
Workday will automatically fill this rate in when completing Expense Reports for personal mileage for travel dates starting January 1, 2024.
