Before walking across the stage at commencement, College of Medicine Class of 2024 graduates gathered over the past week to celebrate their accomplishments with their program classmates and faculty. The college hosted individual celebration events for the MD Program, Nutrition and Exercise Physiology, and Speech and Hearing Sciences.
The events featured speeches from program leadership and Dean James Record, awards presentations, photo opportunities, and a chance to relax and socialize.
The celebrations were added to commencement week programing this year to create a more intimate atmosphere for graduates to connect with their peers before beginning the next phase of their journeys. Also new this year, the college is participating in the WSU Spokane Commencement Ceremony at the Spokane Arena, where graduates in the colleges of Medicine, Nursing, and Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences will receive their degrees.
