Research by WSU Elson S. Floyd College of Medicine MD students Matthew Hsin and Devin Peterson is featured in a peer-reviewed publication by the Association of University Radiologists group Alliance of Medical Student Educators in Radiology (AMSER). Their case report is the featured Radiology/Pathology Case of the Month for July 2024.
Hsin and Peterson, both fourth-year medical students, investigated a case involving the diagnosis and management of a neonate presenting with a sacrococcygeal teratoma.
Hsin and Peterson were supported in their publication by clinical faculty members Julie Kaczmark, MD, an emergency and pediatrics radiologist, and Sanjay Logani, MD, a cytopathologic and gynecologic pathologist.
