Faculty Development: Cultivating Compassionate Classrooms Part 2

April 9 at 11:30 am1:00 pm PDT

Educational trauma event

In January, Jaime Bowman, MD, FAAFP, provided a session about educational trauma. Educational trauma is defined as shame and humiliation in the learning environment stemming from both the learner’s prior experiences and the nature of the learning environment itself.

This April, Jaime will continue her presentation and share even more with us as she discusses the effects this trauma has on learning, what materializes in the classroom or bedside, and strategies for interrupting, recovering from, and preventing this type of trauma.

If you didn’t attend part 1, that’s ok! This session will still have lots of valuable information.
