To improve medical education and health care access in Washington communities, the Elson S. Floyd College of Medicine supports current and future students and fosters community engagement through the following initiatives.
Pathway Programs
The college’s formal pathway programs support Washington students who have an interest in pursuing a career in medicine, including high school students, college honors students, and enrolled members of federally recognized Tribes.
Conference for Health Equity and Public Good
This two-day virtual conference is designed to connect educators, researchers, health care providers, and communities across Washington and beyond to discuss practical strategies to achieve optimal health for all.
Center for the People
The Center for the People serves as a bridge between the WSU College of Medicine and local community groups, providing a physical space for WSU students, employees, and community organizations to coordinate strategies for improving the health of individuals as well as communities.
