Program returns in 2024
This pathway program is focused on serving populations who come from the Columbia Basin area of Washington State as well as other focused Eastern and Central Washington areas.
The first part of the Dare to Dream pathway is through a partnership with the Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction’s (OSPI) Migrant Education Program (MEP) in a program called Dare to Dream. There are several Dare to Dream academies across Washington State, and WSU Health Sciences Spokane hosted a Dare to Dream Health Sciences Academy.
The Washington State University Dare to Dream Health Sciences Academy focused on the following specific components:
- Enhancing academic skills in the areas of science and health.
- Providing opportunities to engage in experiences in the area of health science on a university campus.
- Conducting career exploration in the health industry.
- Learning about programs of study in the area health science.
The Dare to Dream Health Science Academy is developed in partnership with the Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction’s Title I Part C Migrant Education Program and the Association of Washington School Principals. Learn more about the overall Dare to Dream initiative.
