Work with Students
The College of Medicine is building an environment where medical students training to become the next generation of physicians will work closely with faculty in a variety of interprofessional learning environment settings: academic, community and clinical. In addition, the Speech and Hearing Sciences faculty encourage students to spend time on philanthropic activities.
Ranked “Very High Research Activity” Institution
The College of Medicine has a robust, diverse research portfolio. Strengths include sleep, neuroscience and cancer. Some of the College’s researchers are world leaders in basic and applied sleep research. Many are affiliated with the university’s well-known Sleep and Performance Research Center. The Department of Speech and Hearing Sciences investigates conditions that affect communication, including autism. The College also has growing programs in nutrition and exercise physiology and population health.
