Additional Info

What inspired you to pursue medicine?

I took a roundabout route to medicine, landing on it after searching for a profession that would balance my enthusiasm for both the humanities and science, for individual stories and data-driven practices. I love the subjectivity and objectivity of it, that gray space between evidence-based care and style. And I love walking alongside patients on their health journeys.

What are your passions and hobbies outside of work?

Watching baseball, reading novels, listening to health & fitness podcasts, cooking simple dinners, planning trips, getting outside, and playing pretty much any team sport.

What would you do if you hadn’t pursued medicine?

I might have continued teaching middle and high school chemistry in the UK, which was my first job out of college and a wonderful experience.
