Dr. Weeks is a Research Professor at the Washington State University Elson S. Floyd College of Medicine in the in the Department of Community and Behavioral Health. He is also faculty in the Promoting Research Initiatives in Substance Use and Mental Health (PRISM) Collaborative at WSU. His doctoral training had a dual focus on biostatistical methods (general linear model, hierarchical linear model, and psychometric procedures) and research methodology (experimental as well as non-experimental).

Dr. Week’s research has spanned many decades and includes not only his own research contributions to basic and clinical research, but also long-standing success with conducting statistical analyses for collaborators on many different translational research projects. He has received research funding from federal and state agencies as well as private foundations, such as the National Institutes of Health, the National Institute on Disability and Rehabilitation Research, the Washington State Department of Labor and Industries, the Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology, the American Heart Association, and the Craig H. Neilsen Foundation. As well, Dr. Weeks has played an integral role as the biostatistician on many government and privately funded studies, including projects funded by the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health, Robert Wood Johnson, and the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality. He is also co-chair of the Providence St. Joseph Health Care Institutional Review Board. Dr. Weeks’ research interests center on the influence of interventions that can improve quality of life and health outcomes in various patient populations.
