WSU Insider featured the Stevens County Mentorship Program this week. The program is one of several efforts the college has designed to help high school students and their families understand community health needs, health care career options, and the skills and knowledge they need to reach their goals.
“We want students to get work-study and internship opportunities before they even graduate so that they can build up their understanding of the careers that are in such high demand right now,” said Jessica Gerdes, principal assistant within the Department of Translational Medicine and Physiology.
