Educator Academy applications open

The Office of Faculty Development and Continuing Education is excited to launch the first College of Medicine Educator Academy (EA) for the 2023-24 academic year.

What is this new academy?
The EA is designed to create a community of practice among both faculty and staff who identify as educators in a Plan-Learn-Reflect Respond cohort model.

Who is the EA for?
The EA is for any faculty or staff member at the College of Medicine who sees themselves as an educator, is interested in skill building, and is motivated to help elevate the overall educational experience at the college.

What will I learn?
You will choose your own learning pathway and connect with your cohort on a consistent basis to share and discuss your learning. A sample of sessions you could choose from might be: How to Consume Learner Evaluations, How to Write Multiple Choice Questions, How to Provide Narrative Feedback, and more.

How will the cohort be chosen?
We have an enthusiastic advisory group of faculty and staff who will help to select our first cohort. We hope this cohort helps us to grow and build the academy over the coming years.

How can I join?
Find more information here and to fill out an application. This cycle will remain open April 10 – May 31, 2023, for an anticipated cohort start date of Sept 1, 2023.

If you have questions not answered above or in the application form, please reach out to us at medicine.faculty.development@wsu.edu.

Looking to build your skills in Educational Scholarship/Research?
