MD Students Match in Early Military, Urology Match Days

Match season has kicked off at the WSU College of Medicine! Seven students from the Class of 2024 have already matched into residency programs where they will pursue specialties as resident physicians.

Garrett Britt and Lars Neuenschwander are the latest fourth-year medical student to match into a residency program. Britt was accepted into a urology residency at State University of New York (SUNY) Upstate Medical University in Syracuse, NY and Neuenschwander was accepted into a urology residency at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City, IA. Urology is one of the more competitive fields.

Five additional members of the Class of 2024 matched during Military Match Day in December.

  • Blake Cohoe – Orthopedic Surgery, Travis Air Force Base/UC Davis, Sacramento, CA
  • Allen Gong – Pediatrics, Tripler Army Medical Center, Honolulu, HI
  • Michael Johnston – Orthopedic Surgery, Naval Medical Center, San Diego, CA
  • Megan Lee – Diagnostic Radiology, Travis Air Force Base/UC Davis, Sacramento, CA
  • Jacob Mansfield – Internal Medicine, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Dayton, OH
